Golden Gavel Award

Achieving the Golden Gavel Award is a distinction only a few clubs will achieve. Will yours be one of those honored by the District 46 Program Quality Director?

To qualify for this prestigious award, clubs must meet the following criteria:

  • Officer list submitted to Toastmasters International World Headquarters by June 30, 2016
  • Club Proxies assigned for 2016 International Convention in August in Washington D.C. by August 17, 2016
  • Seven officers trained in summer (June-August) 2016 and winter (December-February) 2016-2017
  • Contestant in 4 Area contests (2 in the fall & 2 in the spring)
  • Twenty (20) members paid “on time” for October and April Renewal periods
  • Club banner carried in the Fall 2016 Parade of Banners and a Banner Video submitted by April 20th for the Spring 2017 Conference
  • At least one club proxy (of two possible) exchanged for a business meeting ballot for the District Council meeting at both the Fall 2016 and Spring 2017 Conferences
  • Achieve perfect 10 in the Distinguished Club Program

In recognition of this outstanding achievement, each club will be recognized by the Program Quality Director with:

  • The Golden Gavel Recognition Plaque
  • The Golden Gavel Ribbon for your Club Banner
  • Prominent recognition on the District 46 Website
